We are currently looking for a Junior GIS Consultant to join our newly established GIS team in Athens! The successful candidate will work in a multinational, fast-paced IT environment, with GIS professionals from other countries, contributing to high-impact GIS projects for the European Commission and other EU institutions.

What you will do..

• .Manage and process geospatial data: creating, collecting, updating, upgrading, and enriching geospatial datasets
• .Perform spatial analysis and geospatial modeling
• .Develop cartographic products and web map services: creation of maps and all derived visualizations related to spatial dimensions and relations between entities
• .Automate GIS workflows with software development: developing semi or fully automated processes from data retrieval to dissemination
• .Communicate findings via reports, maps, and presentations: drafting inventories of user requirements, technical specifications, and other technical reports, including public speaking for training or user support

What is your experience.

• ..MEng/MSc Degree in GIS, Geography, IT, Engineering, or a related fiel
• d.2+ years of professional GIS experience acquired in the last 10 year
• s.Expertise in spatial analysis, geospatial data management, and GIS softwar
• e.Strong coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript
• ).Experience with tools like PostgreSQL/PostGIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, and web cartography framework
• s.Familiarity with open-source GIS tools and guidelines of INSPIRE and OG
• C.Basic knowledge of earth observation operations, such as data collection, processing, analysis, and visualizations (e.g., Copernicus services
