Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Business Developer to join our team in a hybrid work environment based in Marousi. This role is crucial in driving our business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities in the software development sector. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in software sales and business development.

As a hybrid position, this role offers a balance between remote work and in-office collaboration. You'll have the flexibility to work from home for part of the week, while also benefiting from face-to-face interactions with colleagues and clients at our Marousi office. This setup allows for optimal productivity and work-life balance, combining the advantages of remote work with the collaborative spirit of an office environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand our software solutions market share
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and industry analysis
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align our software offerings with market demands
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts with enterprise clients
  • Represent WayMore at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts


Daily Tasks

  • Conduct targeted outreach to potential clients through various channels (email, phone, social media)
  • Research and qualify new leads using CRM and market intelligence tools
  • Prepare and deliver compelling software demonstrations and presentations
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide detailed information about our software solutions
  • Update and maintain accurate records in the company's CRM system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and customize solutions
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to inform business development strategies


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate leads by identifying and reaching out to potential clients who would benefit from our software solutions
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies using various methods, including cold calling, emailing, social selling (particularly on LinkedIn), and networking at industry events
  • Craft compelling, value-driven messages that resonate with prospects' pain points and clearly demonstrate how our software provides effective solutions
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, focusing on establishing rapport and trust even in cold outreach situations
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking progress, nurturing leads, and guiding them through the sales funnel to successful closure
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving sales techniques to maintain a competitive edge
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments with potential clients to understand their business challenges and align our software solutions accordingly
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials that support business development efforts
  • Provide regular feedback to the product development team on client needs and market demands to inform product enhancements and new feature development
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our software products, their technical specifications, and their applications across various industries
  • Prepare and present comprehensive business proposals, including ROI analyses and implementation plans, to key decision-makers
  • Negotiate complex contracts, addressing client concerns and ensuring mutually beneficial agreements
  • Facilitate smooth handovers to the implementation and customer success teams post-sale to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Mentor junior business development team members, sharing best practices and strategies for success in software sales
  • Contribute to the development of the overall business strategy by providing insights on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 8-10 years of proven experience in software sales or business development, preferably in the marketing technology or SaaS sector
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, marketing automation, and customer engagement technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in closing high-value, enterprise-level deals
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus for international business development
