Job Description: Junior Accountant

Main Responsibilities:

• Reconcile revenues with the Opera system


• Make and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded


• Update accounts receivable


• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations


• Assist in preparing financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines


• Assist with reviewing expenses as assigned


• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and immediate availability when needed


• Assist in weekly/monthly reporting


• Assist the Chief Accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings


• Assist with other accounting projects and procedures

Qualifications:

• Degree in Economics or Accounting


• 1 - 2 years of working experience


• Experience in maintaining double-entry books


• Postgraduate studies in Tax and Accounting will be considered an asset


• Knowledge of IFRS will be considered an asset

Skills Required:

• Communication skills and team spirit


• Proficient in MS Office


• Excellent command of the English language


• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving ability
