Junior Associate – Competition & Antitrust

Main responsibilities:

●      Assisting in the preparation of cases before the Hellenic Competition Commission, other Administrative Authorities and the Administrative Courts as part of a team.

●      Textbook and case law research and presentation of findings.

●      Day-to-day support to clients on competition & antitrust, digital and consumer law matters.  

●      Reviewing commercial agreements and practices.

●      Providing practical legal advice and support on competition compliance, regulatory and merger control issues.

●      Developing ongoing relationships with a prominent client base.

●      Participating in educational programs to keep up with developments and advance knowledge.

Main Qualifications / Personal Characteristics:

●      Bachelor’s degree in Law.

●      Post-graduate degree (LLM or equivalent) from a prominent University with a focus on EU / Competition law.

●      Qualified as an attorney-at-law in Greece.

●      Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).

●      The following will be a plus factor:

-     Internship at EU Institutions (DG COMP, Legal Service of the European Commission, EU Courts), or the Hellenic Competition Commission/Greek Sector Regulators 

●      Sound drafting skills both in the Greek and English language and exceptional accuracy.

●      Analytical and drafting skills, clear and concise writing, attention to detail.

●      Commitment, integrity, team spirit and work ethic.

●      Ability to work independently and as a team member under strict deadlines.

●      Able to demonstrate initiative and ownership, proactivity.

●      Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and commercial awareness.
