HEAD WAITER/WAITRESS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Restaurant Manager


• Ensure exceptional service, asking for feedback, aiming to the highest guest satisfaction


• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance and follow all health and safety company regulations


• Ensures that the opening and closing of the restaurant is organised. This includes making sure that there is always adequate mise en place, setting up the restaurant before the guest’s arrival and performing all duties related to the closing of the restaurant.


• Full knowledge of the food, ingredients & drinks of our menu


• Ability to advise guests of appropriate combinations of food & drinks when requested


• Well presented and professionally groomed at all times


• Demonstrate a pleasant & positive professional image to both guests & the rest of the team


• Communicate any issues, challenges and complaints to Restaurant Manager in a timely manner

JOB RELATED SKILLS

• Experience of min. 3 years in a similar position in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant


• Ability to comprehend & communicate in English fluently


• Previous experience of POS systems, preferably Micros


• Extensive knowledge of wines will be considered an asset


• Teamwork spirit


• Highly self-motivated and capable of managing workload, prioritizing tasks
