We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant HousekeepingManager to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to thehighest standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
Job Role: The Assistant HousekeepingManager is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager in the overalloperation and management of the housekeeping department. They ensure that thehighest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction is maintained in all areasof the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising housekeeping staff. Provideongoing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Inventory Management:Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Place ordersfor supplies as needed and ensure efficient usage to minimize waste.
- Cleaning Standards: Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleanedand maintained to the established standards. Address any cleanliness ormaintenance issues promptly.
- Scheduling: Assist in creating and managingwork schedules for the housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage whilemanaging labor costs efficiently.
- Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections to verify that cleaning and maintenance tasks arecompleted correctly and that rooms are ready for guest occupancy.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to housekeeping services and takeappropriate actions to address concerns or complaints promptly.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as the hotel'shousekeeping policies and procedures. Maintain a safe work environment for the housekeepingteam.
- Staff Training:Assist in providing training and development opportunities to staff, includingsafety procedures, cleaning techniques, and customer service skills.
- Communication: Collaborate with otherdepartments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate efforts andaddress any housekeeping-related issues or guest requests.
- Reports and Documentation:Prepare reports on housekeeping operations, including occupancy rates, supplyusage, and maintenance issues. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in hospitality management ora related field is a plus.
- Priorexperience in housekeeping, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory ormanagerial role.
- Strongleadership and communication skills.
- Knowledgeof housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety standards.
- Familiaritywith housekeeping software and basic computer skills.
- Attentionto detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Abilityto work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
