RISK ENGINEER

Howden Hellas is growing and we are looking for a Risk Engineer, to join our team.

Position: Risk Engineer

Location: Athens (on site)

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the Company’s clients in supporting technically the claims files development, valuating tangible assets as well as helping in minimizing loss exposure by means of accurately evaluating on site property loss prevention and control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-insurance risk and loss adjusting and valuation surveys


• Providing risk engineering, technical consultation, and proposing loss prevention and control-oriented improvements


• Performing preliminary and detailed assets’ valuations


• Developing risk, claims, and valuation reports


• Cooperation with all relevant parties to provide advisory service and assistance in the whole process of new and renewal businesses


• Ensuring delivery of advisory services in compliance with regulations and internal procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial property and energy loss adjusting infrastructure & electromechanical machinery valuations, active and passive fire protection, plant and process safety


• Experience within the insurance or broking industry will be considered a plus


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Excellent command of the English language


• MS Office literacy, Excel databases in particular
