Senior Quality Assurance Specialist in the Pharmaceutical Sector

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, deeply knowledgeable, and autonomous Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our highly organized QA department. Working alongside two experienced QA professionals and dedicated administrative support, you will step into a key role within a mature, well-developed quality system that operates at a rigorous, pharmaceutical-grade standard.

This role goes beyond managing paperwork. We are looking for a committed quality advocate who values the QA function and understands its principles and impact on a modern organisation. You should have an excellent understanding of ISO 9001-based quality management systems and their practical application in a pharmaceutical environment governed by EU GxP requirements.

Following an initial onboarding period, you will be expected to dive into complex processes, take full ownership of challenges, and deliver end-to-end solutions autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

• System Contribution & Ownership: Actively contribute to the maintenance of our mature, highly demanding ISO 9001/EU GxP quality management system, taking full ownership of assigned areas and processes.


• System Standards & Evolution: Uphold the high benchmarks of our established quality system, actively contributing to its continuity, expansion, and the further elevation of our procedural documents.


• Autonomous Problem Solving: Lean into operational and systemic bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and implement robust corrective actions.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate dynamically in all departmental tasks and broader company initiatives to foster a culture of quality.


• Compliance & Audits: Ensure the company consistently meets the rigorous quality standards required in the pharmaceutical sector and is fully prepared for demanding external audits and inspections.

Requirements

• Experience Metrics:


• Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in a highly demanding QA environment (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Heavy Industry) with clear roles of high responsibility, OR


• Minimum of 4 years of full-time experience outside the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, with clear evidence of career progression and independently delivered results.


• Technical Expertise: Exceptional comprehension of ISO 9001 frameworks and high-level quality systems.


• Mindset: A strong sense of autonomy, a hands-on work ethic ("can-do" attitude), and a deep passion for quality as a core business concept rather than a bureaucratic necessity.


• Skills: Analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to adapt and contribute to any task within the department.


• Language: Fluency in professional English and Greek.
