Mechanical Fitter & Sheet Metal Technician

The Role

ES SYSTEMS is looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter & Sheet Metal Technician who will support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototype mechanical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Sheet metal fabrication through cutting, bending, and forming processes
• Mechanical assembly and fitting in accordance with technical drawings
• Operation of workshop machinery, equipment, and hand tools
• Dimensional inspection and quality control of manufactured parts
• Support for prototype build, assembly, and modification activities

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assembly
• Technical school diploma or equivalent vocational qualification
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments and inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a workshop environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with CNC or laser cutting
• Basic welding skills
• Industrial manufacturing experience
