Maintenance Technician

Job requirements:

• Technical education, vocational training, or certification in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or a related field.


• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in building construction, maintenance, or a similar position.


• Good practical knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical works, general repairs, and building maintenance.


• Experience with guest room repairs, including doors, windows, locks, furniture, and sanitary fixtures.


• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or large building facility is considered an advantage.


• Ability to identify and resolve everyday technical problems with relative autonomy.


• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and on-call when required.
  

Job responsibilities:

• Carry out daily maintenance, repairs, and general handyman work throughout the property.


• Respond promptly to technical and maintenance requests, minimizing disruption to hotel operations and guests.


• Perform practical maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.


• Carry out basic plumbing repairs, minor electrical works, and general building repairs.


• Repair and maintain doors, windows, locks, furniture, sanitary fixtures, and other room equipment.


• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and other building systems.


• Identify technical problems and resolve them with relative autonomy, escalating more complex issues when required.


• Support preventive maintenance programs and renovation or refurbishment projects.


• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good and safe condition.


• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and hotel procedures.


• Maintain good communication with the Maintenance Manager and other hotel departments.
