SCYTALYS is looking for an experienced Senior Platform Integration & Verification Engineer to lead the installation, integration, verification, and customer acceptance of mission-critical solutions across target platforms and system environments.
You will provide technical leadership across software, hardware, networks, interfaces, and operational workflows, ensuring solutions are configured, tested, documented, and ready for customer acceptance. This hands-on role spans requirements analysis, solution design, end-to-end verification, field activities, customer support, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of system requirements, design documentation, interface specifications, and customer acceptance criteria.
- Define and evaluate hardware, software, and third-party component selections, including supplier quote and technical proposal reviews.
- Lead system installation, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and verification activities on target platforms.
- Coordinate on-site integration and installation activities with subcontractors, customers, and project stakeholders.
- Define, maintain, and execute system-level test strategies, plans, procedures, test cases, and acceptance scenarios.
- Lead end-to-end verification across software, hardware, networks, interfaces, and external systems.
- Establish and maintain test environments, configurations, test data, and tools for integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Analyse test results, manage discrepancies, support root-cause investigations, and verify corrective actions.
- Prepare and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and On-Site Acceptance Tests (OSAT).
- Validate interfaces, connectivity, data flows, operational scenarios, and interoperability across multiple systems and networks.
- Produce and review technical documentation, including Bills of Material, installation manuals, cabling diagrams, maintenance manuals, configuration records, and test evidence.
- Conduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and provide technical input to project planning and risk management.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote integration, verification, and documentation best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in system integration, validation, verification, field engineering, or acceptance testing of electronic, software, networked, or mission-critical systems.
- BSc degree in Electronics, Computer, Software, Systems, or Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience leading complex system integration, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience across hardware, software, networks, interfaces, and configuration issues.
- Strong understanding of requirements-based verification, test planning, test procedures, test reporting, requirements coverage, and traceability.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, including manuals, datasheets, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and test specifications.
- Working knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with design, documentation, configuration, requirements-management, issue-tracking, and test-management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Availability to travel to customer and installation sites when required.
- Experience in defense systems, virtualization, RF fundamentals, test automation, or test and measurement instruments will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with NATO standards, STANAGs, and airborne, naval, or land-platform environments will be considered an advantage.
