SCYTALYS is looking for a skilled Platform Integration & Verification Engineer to support the installation, integration, verification, and customer acceptance of mission-critical solutions across target platforms and system environments.
The successful candidate will work across software, hardware, networks, interfaces, and operational workflows to ensure systems are configured, tested, documented, and ready for acceptance. This hands-on role spans requirements analysis, solution configuration, end-to-end testing, field activities, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the analysis of system requirements, design documentation, interface specifications, and customer acceptance criteria..
- Define and evaluate the selection of hardware, software, and other third-party components including supplier quote reviews.
- Plan and perform system installation, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting on target platforms.
- Coordinate on-site integration and installation activities with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Define, maintain, and execute system-level test plans, procedures, test cases, and acceptance scenarios.
- Perform end-to-end verification across software, hardware, networks, interfaces, and external systems.
- Set up and maintain test environments, configurations, test data, and tools for integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Capture and analyse test results, report discrepancies, support defect investigation, and verify corrective actions.
- Prepare and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and On-Site Acceptance Tests (OSAT).
- Validate interfaces, connectivity, data flows, operational scenarios, and interoperability across multiple systems and networks.
- Produce and review technical documentation, including Bills of Material, installation manuals, cabling diagrams, maintenance manuals, configuration records, and test evidence.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare related technical reports.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in system integration, validation, verification, field engineering, or acceptance testing of electronic, software, networked, or mission-critical systems.
- BSc degree in Electronics, Computer, Software, Systems, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and configuration issues.
- Strong understanding of requirements-based verification, test planning, test procedures, test reporting, requirements coverage, and traceability.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including manuals, datasheets, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and test specifications.
- Working knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Experience using design, documentation, configuration, requirements-management, issue-tracking, or test-management tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Availability to travel to customer and installation sites when required.
- Experience in defense systems, virtualisation, RF fundamentals, test automation, or test and measurement instruments will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with NATO standards, STANAGs, and airborne, naval, or land-platform environments will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with simulation tools will be considered a strong plus.
