Role Overview

Ethniki Asfalistiki is looking for a Junior Expense Controller who will play a key role in the company’s financial management activities. The successful candidate will participate in the monthly and annual closing processes, as well as in the business planning process, contributing to the effective monitoring, analysis, and optimization of company expenses.

Main Responsibilities

• Reviewing company expenses by business function, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with approved budgets and company policies.
• Participating in the monthly and annual financial closing processes.
• Contributing to the business planning and budgeting processes.
• Designing, implementing, and continuously improving expense management processes, including submission, approval, and payment procedures.
• Analyzing expense data to identify trends, variances, and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Preparing regular management reports on expenses and budget variances, while providing recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborating closely with different departments to ensure the effective operation of expense management processes.
• Using ERP systems and other relevant applications to monitor expenses and support process automation.
  
  

Candidate Job Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Up to 4 years of experience in expense management, financial controlling, or a related position.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and cost management.
• Excellent command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in Greek and English (both written and spoken).
• No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).
