The Role

SSMART is looking for a Electronic Engineer to join its Production & Programs Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and equipment used in naval defense platforms. The role involves supporting production and integration activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems and equipment
• Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repairs, and modifications of electronic systems
• Read and interpret electronic schematics, technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Support production and system integration activities during assembly and installation phases
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate technical records and prepare documentation when required
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while following safety and operational procedures
• Participate in training activities and undertake assignments abroad when required

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering (TEI) or Automation Engineering (TEI)
• Hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, installation, maintenance, or repair
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, technical drawings, and technical documentation
• Experience in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of electronic systems
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Relevant professional experience in computer network installations and fiber optics knowledge will be considered an asset
• Availability to travel abroad for training and project support activities
