Role Description The Deep-Tech Proposal Engineer Fellow is a contract position based in Tripoli with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with flexible work-from-home days. The fellow will prepare and write technical and commercial proposals for deep-tech and engineering-focused projects, ensuring alignment with client needs, funding calls, and organizational objectives. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing technical specifications, coordinating with engineering and research teams, gathering procurement and cost data, and structuring competitive proposals for grants, tenders, and commercial opportunities. The role involves supporting business development and sales efforts by identifying relevant opportunities, contributing to pitch materials, and maintaining proposal documentation and templates. The fellow will also collaborate with cross-functional teams within Startup Greece’s ecosystem and partners to ensure high-quality, timely submissions and continuous improvement of proposal processes.


Qualifications

  • Strong proposal preparation and proposal writing skills, including the ability to interpret calls, structure responses, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Background in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline, with the ability to understand deep-tech solutions and translate technical concepts into clear, compelling content.
  • Experience or familiarity with sales and business development processes, particularly in technology or engineering-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, cost estimation, and supplier coordination to support accurate and competitive proposal budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Greek language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, other Engineering, or a closely related technical field; experience with EU or international funding programs is a plus.
