We are currently looking for a Mining Engineer to join Hellenic Quarries S.A. in Paros. The role will support the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of the quarry, contributing to production planning, extraction activities, quality monitoring and operational performance.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day quarry operations, including excavation, drilling, blasting, extraction, and internal transportation activities


• Develop and implement production plans, extraction methods, operational schedules, and resource allocation strategies


• Monitor and manage stocks of raw materials, consumables, and equipment to ensure optimal stock levels


• Assess the quality and characteristics of extracted material and collaborate with Sales and Commercial team to align production output with market demand and customer requirements


• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for productivity and cost improvement


• Contribute to the evaluation and optimization of extraction activities, taking into account the geological and qualitative characteristics of the deposit


• Prepare regular operational and performance reports


• Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental requirements

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Mineral Resources Engineering


• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role


• Experience in marble or dimension stone quarrying will be considered an asset


• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)


• Proficiency in English, both written and oral


• Blasting License will be considered as an asset


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
