NTT Data Greece is looking for a System Architect in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector. As a System Architect, you will be working with a variety of different clients across multiple industries. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a strong background in enterprise application architecture, cloud-native solutions and modern Java ecosystems.

Your Role:

• Define solution architectures based on a technology stack including Java Spring Boot, microservices, secure API design, semantic interoperability, Angular, MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases), and messaging platforms such as Kafka, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native, highly available, and resilient solutions.
• Produce enterprise-level artefacts and blueprints that can govern code production, including AI-assisted code (Design Driven Development).
• Develop architectural blueprints and ensure alignment with business goals and technology stacks.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, particularly in cloud and distributed environments.
• Act as the main technical contact for stakeholders, guiding high-level design decisions and setting technical standards.
• Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and business analysts to ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
• Communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor development teams on best practices.
• Lead technical workshops, reviews, and brainstorming sessions to foster continuous improvement.
• Design systems that integrate with third-party services and internal systems via APIs, ensuring proper data management.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software architecture and solution design for complex enterprise projects.
• Excellent experience in either Springboot or Java EE, notably in RESTful web services, dependency injection frameworks and server-side (JSF, Spring MVC) or client-side (Angular) technologies;
• Solid experience of relational database management systems or NoSQL/messaging systems;
• Knowledge of Enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF);
• Experience in agile software development processes and methodologies, DevOps approach and associated technologies (e.g. dependency management, CI/CD, cloud-based environments, cloud architecture, REST APIs)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
