Senior BI Developer

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate Senior BI Developer to join the Commercial Intelligence & Insights team at SKY express. In this role you will transform complex data into clear insights, dashboards, and analytical outputs that strengthen decision-making and commercial performance. You will work directly with our databases, writing and optimizing complex SQL and building the datasets and models that Commercial reporting relies on, while partnering closely with Data Engineering to resolve data issues at the source.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytical models that support business decision-making.
• Build and maintain the BI data foundation, including views, semantic models, and reusable datasets.
• Partner with Data Engineering to define requirements and improve data structures supporting Commercial reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and automation across reporting and analytics processes.
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Lead BI projects from requirements gathering through implementation and business adoption.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in BI, Analytics, or a similar role, with proven, hands-on depth in SQL and database work.
• Strong command of SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases, schemas and data modeling
• Proficient in IT (MS Office suite and data visualization tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar). Familiarity with Python or similar analytical programming languages will be considered a plus.
• Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written).
