System Network Engineer

The Role

SCYTALYS is currently looking for a skilled System Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructures for customer and reference system deployments. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating system connectivity requirements into secure and reliable network solutions, supporting system integration activities, and ensuring the effective operation of mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network architectures based on customer and system requirements
• Develop IP addressing plans, subnetting schemes, and network segmentation strategies
• Configure and manage firewalls, routing, switching, and access control policies
• Translate system communication requirements into network configurations and connectivity solutions
• Support the integration of critical systems, including C2 systems, gateways, and Tactical Data Links
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis during integration, testing, and deployment phases
• Support system validation, acceptance testing, deployment, and commissioning activities
• Document network designs, configurations, and technical solutions in accordance with company standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system functionality
• Contribute to technical proposals and continuously improve network design, security, and deployment practices

Requirements

• Experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, and network segmentation
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls
• Knowledge of network security principles, including access control and network segmentation
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
• Ability to translate system connectivity and communication requirements into network solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Fluency in English
