Role Overview
We are seeking a Raw Materials, Quarry & Environmental Specialist to join KEBE Group and support the coordination and improvement of raw material, quarry, and environmental activities.
The successful candidate will manage raw material sourcing, quarry documentation, site visits, sampling, laboratory analysis, and material suitability assessments, helping ensure a reliable supply of suitable raw materials for production. The role will also support environmental permits, reporting, waste management, inspections, and ISO 14001 requirements.
This role is ideal for a field-oriented technical professional with experience in raw materials, quarries, geology, mining, ceramics, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate quarry, land, and raw material activities, including licences, contractors, sampling results, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct field visits and coordinate sample collection, site assessments, and laboratory testing of potential raw material sources.
- Evaluate laboratory results with Quality and Production to confirm raw material suitability and consistency.
- Identify and assess alternative clay and raw material sources to support production continuity and reduce supply risk.
- Maintain accurate records of licences, permits, approvals, renewals, inspections, agreements, and technical documentation.
- Monitor raw material availability and quality, operational risks, and significant issues, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Coordinate activities with laboratories, contractors, landowners, consultants, public authorities, and internal departments.
- Support environmental compliance, statutory reporting, waste management, inspections, corrective actions, and ISO 14001 requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
- At least three years’ experience in raw materials, quarries, mining, ceramics, or manufacturing.
- Practical experience in sampling, laboratory coordination, and raw material assessment.
- Knowledge of quarry permits, environmental compliance, and waste management.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites and quarries.
