Senior Level 1 SOC Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Senior L1 SOC Analyst to support the daily monitoring, investigation, and response to security alerts. The role also includes incident escalation, guidance of junior analysts, and support in improving SOC procedures and detection processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial incident triage, log analysis, and response for security alerts and events
• Escalate complex or high-severity security incidents to L2/L3 analysts or SOC Management, providing comprehensive initial documentation
• Communicate effectively with SOC management and team members regarding ongoing investigations and status updates
• Assist in the review and basic tuning recommendations for SIEM alerts and detection rules to reduce false positives
• Mentor and guide junior L1 analysts in daily operational tasks, triage workflows, and best practices
• Maintain and update Incident Response playbooks/SOPs for Tier 1 triage procedures
  
  

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in security incident monitoring, log analysis, and response within a SOC environment
• Demonstrated experience with modern SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, QRadar)
• Solid experience in analyzing security logs from a variety of sources (EDR, Firewalls, WAF, Active Directory, Cloud logs, etc.)
• Strong understanding of current security trends, threats, attack vectors, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Good verbal and written communication skills (Greek and English)
• Relevant IT Security Certifications (e.g., CySA+, BTL1, Security+, GCIH, CEH) or willingness to obtain within one year
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure during critical security incide
