Our Global Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team provides comprehensive blueprints for cybersecurity excellence by embedding governance, risk management, and compliance into every layer. The team is responsible for ensuring risk-based decision-making is used and that security, privacy, and regulatory compliance is integrated seamlessly with Pfizer’s organization.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate, AI, Data, and Infrastructure to drive GRC initiatives related to infrastructure risk, data governance, and AI risk and controls. The Associate will collaborate extensively with Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Engineering, AI, Security, Privacy, Quality, and other critical partners to operationalize governance requirements and ensure effective risk management. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience, strong technical literacy, and the ability to translate complex infrastructure and AI concepts into clear, actionable control and compliance requirements within a regulated environment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support GRC oversight activities for data platforms (e.g., data lakes/warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, data catalogs, analytics environments), including identifying risks, validating controls, and recommending remediation actions.
- Assist in the implementation of AI governance controls across enterprise AI/ML tools and services, ensuring adherence to regulatory expectations, ethical AI principles, and internal policy requirements.
- Execute and coordinate technology risk assessments for infrastructure, data, and AI environments.
- Serve as a GRC liaison to Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Security, Engineering, AI, Privacy, Quality, Legal, and Internal Audit teams.
- Maintain inventories of infrastructure assets, data sources, AI workflows, and associated configurations.
- Lead testing and validation activities for updates to infrastructure services, data pipelines, or AI tools, ensuring changes meet compliance and risk requirements.
- Monitor system alerts, data pipeline notifications, and AI model performance signals, independently triaging and resolving issues, and escalating more complex risks appropriately.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, data/analytics, or related field.
- Experience in information technology, cybersecurity, or related industry.
- Experience supporting cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar).
- Foundational understanding of:
- Infrastructure and cloud concepts (IAM, networking, encryption, logging/monitoring, backups, change management)
- Data security concepts (classification, access governance, secure data movement)
- Basic AI/ML or GenAI concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document controls and risks clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, AWS/Azure fundamentals, or similar.
- Familiarity with data tooling (e.g., data catalogs, lineage tools, warehouse platforms) and evidence types.
- Experience in large, complex, or regulated environments.
