The opportunity

The Transportation Planning Shift Supervisor prepares, monitors and coordinates the daily routing plan of the company's Own Fleet and associated 3PL Carrier Fleets, ensuring that the distribution of the products from the warehouses to the stores is being conducted on-time and efficiently. We are looking for a motivated and talented person with a strong technical background and business perspective who is ready for the next career step.

What you will focus on

• Creation of the daily routing plans based on the store’s orders, demands and available transportation resources.
• Planning optimization (Optimal routing and cost planning).
• Transportation resources management (trucks, driver, hubs)
• Communication and updates to Transportation operations (Dispatch), WHs (Loading), 3PL Carriers, suppliers, and management according to transportation plan.
• Analyze and identify inefficiencies of planning, with a view to providing solutions, ad-hoc or permanent.
• Implementation of planning reporting and report maintenance
• Development of databases or reporting platforms to facilitate improved transportation data management.
• Collects information from our stores regarding the quality of the products received, planning/program change requests and informs the Supply Chain Managers, Supervisors contributing to the improvement of the SC processes

Who we are looking for

• 3-5 years of prior experience in relevant field or in a similar position
• Relevant educational background will be considered as an asset (Computer Science / Logistics etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Very good knowledge of English language (both written and verbal)
