We are looking to recruit a dynamic, highly motivated Registered Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in Ward B, Lorn & Islands Rural General Hospital, Oban.
Ward B is an 18 bedded ward comprising of 14 acute general medical beds with a 4 bedded Medical/Surgical High Dependency Unit.
Ward B offers a friendly and supportive learning environment. You will have robust clinical skills and knowledge in acute medical nursing, experience in high dependency care, cardiology and respiratory nursing is desirable but training will be provided.
Applicants must hold a Degree or Diploma in Adult Nursing and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the Adults Nursing field of practice. Applicants should also have evidence of continuous professional development, a commitment to life-long learning and an enthusiastic and innovative approach to service development.
ILS/ALS training is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Lorn & Islands rural General Hospital is a modern, well equipped hospital situated in Oban on the stunning west coast of Scotland. Ferry links can transport you easily to Mull or the more distant islands. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with countless leisure activities, good schools and a strong sense of community.
