Vetting Assistant (1 year contract)

Maran Tankers Management Inc., one of the world’s leading ship management companies and part of the Angelicoussis Group, is looking for a motivated Vetting Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Vetting Department.
• Assist in vetting preparation.
• Follow up on the planning of vetting inspections.
• Support and close vetting observations or deficiencies.
• Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions at ship/fleet level.
• Monitor Port State Control inspections and inspection reports.
• Provide support to vessels’ personnel with third-party inspections.
• Submission of SMS revision requests.
• Follow up on the TVEL/CoC.
• Coordinate the D&A testing.

Candidate must have:

• University degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or Maritime studies, recognized by State and National Authorities or an equivalent seagoing certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work under pressure and observe deadlines
