Senior Project Manager Residential

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Residential team.

The new colleague in this position, remains focused on construction project delivery requirements including: budget, schedule, quality, health & safety. Apart, however, from the solid technical aspects required for this role, the ideal candidate for this position clearly exhibits leadership abilities & understands and enjoys team building.

The Senior Project Manager will be reporting to the Development Director.

Key responsibilities:

Core competencies, knowledge & experience:

• Supervises the work of the contractors, monitors the progress of construction and report events impacting the critical path schedule.


• Closely follows schedule and budget issues to avoid and/or recover any lost time or budget impact.


• Reviews construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and development requirements.


• Ensures compliance with quality, schedule and budget for all construction projects.


• Provides specific input into regular monthly reports for the overall construction program status, and liaise with various project stakeholders.


• Responds promptly to all significant safety & quality control issues in order to maintain compliance with agreed standards.


• Supervises the HSE requirements and ensures compliance.


• Conducts regular site inspections and reviews construction progresses. Verifies compliance with approved design, specifications, mock-ups, samples and quality benchmarks. Identifies deviations, non-conformities, and technical issues, and coordinates corrective actions with the relevant stakeholders.


• Supervises, mentors, directs and supports individual project management team members.


• Reviews and process applications for payment relating to the construction progress.


• Reports and advices on design variations and process change orders.


• Reviews and evaluates proposed design changes, value engineering proposals, contractor suggestions, and site-driven modifications. Assesses their impact on cost, programme, quality, functionality, and operational requirements and provides recommendations.


• Supports the project delivery process by coordinating close-out activities, reviewing as-built documentation, participating in snagging and inspections, and ensuring that project requirements are fully addressed prior to handover.

Academic Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or Project Management.


• Appropriate certifications and industry affiliations relevant to education and experience.


• Excellent command of the English language; any other language will be considered as an asset.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years of practical construction related experience which included direct supervision of specific trade subcontractors.


• Direct involvement and support of the procurement/tender process, including development/refinement of contract forms, as well as a thorough understanding of the change management process.


• Strong involvement in the coordination of design documents with trade specific shop drawings during the construction process.


• Experience in support of multi-national teams consisting of in-house staff as well as consultants and contractors.


• Be able to work as a team on big projects. Exhibits clear and visible leadership abilities, is a good listener with solid motivation skills.
