Responsibilities:

• Participates, through flexibility-providing energy portfolios, in the Day-Ahead Market, the Intraday Market and the Balancing Market, in accordance with the relevant market rules and regulations and based on the adopted strategy
• Contributes to the formulation of the optimal strategy for the participation of flexibility-providing energy portfolios in electricity markets, ensuring economic efficiency and maximizing their value in use, while taking into account their operational constraints
• Develops tools and establishes processes aimed at optimizing the financial performance of the participation of flexibility-providing energy portfolios in short-term energy markets
• Prepares regular reports to Management regarding the financial performance of flexibility-providing energy portfolios in short-term energy markets
• Monitors continuously European electricity markets and responds promptly to changes in supply, demand and prices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Informatics or Economics
• Master’s degree related to Energy or Data Science will be considered an additional qualification
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience as an energy portfolio Trader
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Data Management
• Experience in a power generation, supply, transmission or distribution company or in a consulting firm in the energy sector will be considered an additional qualification
• Energy Trader certification
• Understanding of the operation of European electricity markets (Day-Ahead (DAM), Intraday (IDM), Balancing)
• Knowledge of Power BI and Python
• Knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability in flexible working hours
