Responsibilities

  • Develop a systematic and organized approach to following and complying to HSE and PepsiCo EHS standards/policies
  • Manage implementation of EH&S program in GR Operations (Plant & WHs of Ag. Stefanos, sales, HQ and CSL). Ensure maintaining local legislation as well as Pepsico standards and drive performance towards elimination of occupational/commissioning incidents
  • Implement and sustain PepsiCo Global EHS Management System and adherence to ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert for the site on areas of Eniviromental & H&S
  • Investigate, set action plans and follow up to completion on any issues related to above areas
  • Tracking the performance of High Risk Drivers and implement driver management program
  • Implement Emergency Response Procedures inline with Crisis Management for country wide operations
  • Coordinate EHS budget & support plant to build/review AOP/Fcst plans
  • Provide consultative guidance and information to the Leadership Team on EHS priorities and risks, associated costs, performance, major issues, and interpretation of regulatory requirements. Keep management appraised of status, trends, and progress compared to goals
  • Provide trainings to all employees including new hires and contractors in terms of HSe orientation
  • Facilitate EHS SAT teams and ensure implementation of corrective actions
  • Ensures the development and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records for EHS related activities.
  • Investigate all EHS incidents/accidents using standard templates, participate in action plan, communicate findings to Plant Manager and all employees, raises EHS Alerts to Region
  • Participate, review & approve any new equipment, operation, processes, and procedures (as well as proposed changes to existing operations) at the proposal and/or design phase to assure consideration of technical EHS issues / hazards and to facilitate implementation of effective controls
  • Coordinate internal and external audit program for GEHMS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 including legal compliance according to Environmental, Health and Safety management System requirements. Provide coaching for internal auditors and own completion of corrective actions
  • Monitor compliance to EHS procedures and support EHS Committee to complete routine tasks
  • Responsible for the MyEHS system for reporting the lagging and leading indicators for Greece MU
  • Implement Driver Management Program in Greece and follow up performance
  • Ownership of PepsiCo Fleet Safety programme which includes implementing Driver Management Program leading EHS Transport Committee
  • Coach and guide GEHSMS standard owners through quarterly assessment in order to improve performance and participate in GEHSMS Calibration events as internal GEHSMS Auditor in CEGB sites

Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational with a production site facility
  • Professional certification in Health & Safety , Environmental ; Risk assessment course would be a plus
  • Good understanding of the EHS issues, regulations, and technology which impact the food processing industry
  • Fluent in Greek and English
  • Excellent understanding and application of business knowledge across the broader business environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to drive global initiatives
  • Ability to lead successfully in highly matrixed multi-cultural environment a definite asset
  • Proven track record of leading results oriented Continuous Improvement programs
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to interpret complex data and distil into useful and actionable information.
