Data Reporting Assistant

This Data Reporting Assistant role focuses on the conversion of regional market data into clear, usable updates for our senior partners and clients. We are looking for an individual to manage the flow of information across our project trackers, ensuring that commercial facts remain accurate and well-organized. This position is a permanent, full-time remote role that connects our regional focus with a new project for a major European financial services firm based in Greece, helping them analyze market entry points in the GCC.

What you will do

• Compiling weekly commercial data updates from public filings and regional market tracking tools.
• Maintaining internal databases of counterparty information and joint venture structures.
• Drafting clear, concise tables and summaries that highlight changes in deal economics and sovereign-linked projects.
• Checking regional news outlets and official government gazettes for updates on specific infrastructure and investment projects.
• Formatting final reports for senior partners to ensure data is legible and ready for review.
• Supporting the reconciliation of financial data across different regional project streams.
• Identifying gaps in our current data sets and suggesting public sources to fill those requirements.
• Monitoring sector-specific developments in the UAE and Saudi Arabia to feed into our regular client bulletins.

What we are looking for

• A completed or ongoing degree in economics, commerce, business, or a social science with an analytical focus.
• Comfort using Excel to organize lists, create simple charts, and manage basic data reconciliation.
• The ability to write clear English without using unnecessary jargon or corporate filler.
• A high level of attention to detail, specifically when checking names, dates, and commercial figures for accuracy.
• Comfort managing your own schedule in a fully remote environment while staying in sync with the team.
• A basic understanding of commercial interest or curiosity about how international capital moves into the Gulf.

Helpful background

• Familiarity with business news sources that focus on the Middle East or Gulf region.

Employment setup
Gulf Associates is based in the United Arab Emirates, and this role is fully remote. While we are currently supporting partners within the Greece market, candidates from any location are eligible to apply provided they can overlap with the team's core working hours in Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4). This is a professional engagement that does not require an office presence or relocation. Compensation is paid on a regular monthly basis. There are no fees required to apply for or start this role. We do not require the purchase of any specific equipment or software to perform these duties.
