Project Planning Engineer

INGROUP is hiring on behalf of a large company Project Planning Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Developing the project programmed in compliance with the Company`s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Coding system, calendars, processes, and planning standards.
• Optimizing construction strategies and cost and resources allocation, in accordance to the required delivery milestones.
• Planning and aligning all phases of the project life cycle i.e. permits acquisition, enabling works, engineering, procurement, contracting, construction, commissioning, handing over.
• Contributing to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
• Preparing Look-ahead programs, recovery plans, “what-if” scenarios and other micro-schedules.
• Progress monitoring and regular updating of the project programme including forecasting of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures.
• Reporting periodically the project progress and performance and identifying the critical areas.
• Analysing variances in project performance. Delay analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM), Profit and Loss statement (P&L), cash flow statement.
• Cooperation with the Project Controls Manager and the Project Controls Manager.
• Interfacing with other functional teams including, but not limited to: BIM team, design team, estimation, and construction execution.
• Helping to liaise with the client’s planning team, stakeholders and with the works packages supply chain.
• Pursuing excellence and continuous improvement of the construction planning approach, applying standard processes and procedures, and effectively and continuously improving.

.Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Prior experience in planning function in infrastructure projects (e.g., Railways, Metro, Tunnels) and building projects.
• Competence in Primavera P6 Primavera. Working knowledge of other project planning and control software (such as MS Project, TILOS) will be viewed as an additional qualification.
• Fluency English (Greek is a plus.
• Strong communication skill.
