Cans Mechanic

Job Description

The Cans Deco Mechanic at CROWN Hellas Can Packaging SA is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of can decoration machinery to ensure high-quality production.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on can decorating equipment, including printers, coaters, and related machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and minor electrical faults on decoration lines to minimize downtime.
• Execute changeovers and set up decoration machines according to production schedules and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, adjust parameters, and ensure product quality meets established standards.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance.
• Train junior mechanics or operators on basic machine operation and troubleshooting.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment, with specific experience in decorating machinery (e.g., printing presses, coating machines) being a significant advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
