We are currently looking for an IT Billing Engineer to join our Information Technology & Digital Strategy team, based in Paiania.

By joining this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and optimization of billing systems, ensuring accuracy, performance, and continuous improvement of billing-related processes within a dynamic IT environment.

Your Role Will Encompass

• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing billing system functionalities through efficient and well-structured code.
• Managing billing operations, including validations, checks, and necessary corrections.Participating in UAT and QAT processes for billing system enhancements and changes.
• Translating business requirements into functional specifications and collaborating with third-party developers.
• Integrating software components into fully functional systems and ensuring smooth system operation.
• Performing testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and upgrades of existing billing systems.
• Maintaining system documentation and ensuring alignment with updated features and standards.
• Providing 3rd level support for billing issues, escalations, and participating in ad hoc IT projects.
  
  

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Banking will be considered an asset.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Billing or a similar role, ideally within the retail or utilities sector.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL); familiarity with non-relational databases is a plus.
• Experience in JavaScript development and solid understanding of software development principles.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
