Office Manager - part time
Fairlo
Μερικής απασχόλησης ΜακρινόςThe role
As our Office Manager in Heraklion, you’ll be the heart and soul of our workplace. Your mission is to create an extraordinary office experience – a place where the team feels the uniqueness of Fairlo, feel inspired, comfortable, both productive and at home.
This is a part-time, on-site role (approx. 20 hours per week, ~4 hours per day). We’re flexible, but to ensure the office is ready and welcome for the team, physical presence in the office during morning hours (until lunch) works especially well.
In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our office and make sure everything runs seamlessly. Your focus will be on creating a welcoming, inspiring, and home-like environment - from arranging breakfasts and snacks to adding thoughtful touches that make the space special.
You’ll manage relationships with suppliers and service providers, coordinate deliveries and ensure health & safety routines are in place, both for the office and also our Fairlo house in Kokkini Hani. You’ll also support our Employer Branding Manager with events, help with onboarding new colleagues, and step in with travel bookings or other ad-hoc tasks when needed.
Most importantly, you’ll be a culture ambassador - representing Fairlo in the vibrant Cretan tech community and making our Heraklion hub a place where people love to work and belong.
You’ll thrive in this role if you…
… like to create warm, welcoming, and functional spaces where people feel comfortable and inspired. You know how to stay organized, juggle many things at once, and take real ownership of your work. You’re service-minded, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong coordination skills and a natural ability to keep everything running smoothly.
You take pride in being a great host - creating memorable experiences and a positive atmosphere. You enjoy supporting colleagues, building community connections, and feel energized working in a lively, international, and growing company. Most of all, you love bringing people together, whether through events, thoughtful touches, or simply making the workplace feel like home.
Personality and potential matter most for this role, but there are a few must-haves, such as:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and take initiatives.
- Fluent in English and Greek, (written and verbal).
- A valid driving license and comfortable driving when needed.
Nice to have:
- Experience from an office manager, event coordinator, or similar role.
- Experience in hospitality, event management, or HR/people operations.
- Previous experience working in an international environment.
- Eagerness to engage with the local tech/startup community in Crete.

Our background
The Fairlo story began thirty years ago with the family of our founders Jimmy and Shamon fleeing political turmoil and ending up in Sweden. Struggling to give her children all that they desired, Jimmy and Shamon’s mother took a small unsecured loan. It seemed like a good deal but it quickly turned sour as the loan increased in size in spite of the continuous payments. Much later, having grown up, the two brothers revisited this incident and it became the spark that ignited the Fairlo vision. The fact that a trusted bank took predatory advantage of their family, when they were the most vulnerable, became the starting point of a quest to create a fair credit service. Since the start about six years ago, we've been working tirelessly to live up to the vision of an honest and easy-to-understand credit service. Without toxic terms, sneaky fine print, and nasty surprises.
At Fairlo, you’ll be part of a team that blends Swedish innovation with Greek warmth. Together, we’re building the future of finance – with technology, fairness, and a deep respect for people at the core.
Join Fairlo and let's keep building the warm culture that defines our workplace, together!
