Located on the coastline of Kalo Livadi Bay, Four Seasons Resort Mykonos, will offer 94 spacious rooms, villas, and suites with exquisite views of the Aegean Sea. The brand-new build will take shape on an unspoiled 60,000 square meters of land, spanning from the sandy beaches to the picturesque coastal cliffs. To honour the culture and heritage of the destination, the Resort will be built in the Cycladic style that is synonymous with Mykonos, featuring white cubic architecture with bright spots of blue. The hotel will redefine luxury hospitality on the island. The Resort will offer an exciting variety of restaurants and bars, such as an al-fresco pool-side Italian venue, an authentic Mykonian Kafeneio, a contemporary steak house, and a vibrant beach club.
About the role
Responsible for answering phone calls and taking orders for room service in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. This role requires strong communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Order Taker plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive an exceptional in-room dining experience.
What You Will Do
- Answer phone calls or in-room dining orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Take note of any special requests, preferences, or dietary restrictions, and communicate this information clearly to the kitchen and delivery staff.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the room service menu, including available food and drink options, daily specials, and preparation times. Be able to provide suggestions or recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Enter orders accurately into the order management system and confirm all details with guests before submitting to the kitchen or relevant department.
- Relay orders to the kitchen promptly and ensure delivery staff are informed of any specific delivery instructions or requests.
- Address special requests from guests, such as customizing orders, adjusting for allergies, or accommodating unique preferences.
- Track the progress of orders to ensure timely delivery and follow up with kitchen or delivery personnel if there are any issues or delays.
- Ensure all room service orders are correctly charged to guest accounts, processing payments and issuing receipts as necessary.
- Be engaging and actively contributing to the service whenever needed
What You Bring
- Relevant experience in In-Room Dining, Guest Experience, or a Call Center environment is essential for this position.
- Experience in a luxury hotel or similar high-end hospitality setting is preferred and considered a valuable asset.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and work effectively in an office or call center setting, ensuring sustained focus and efficiency throughout the shift.
- Ability to stay highly organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Micros or similar POS systems is required to process orders and manage guest interactions efficiently.
