Title: Procurement / Project Management Specialist
Location: Working Place is Koropi / Attika region, Hybrid model, we would expect 3 - 4 days per week as the standard days on Athens-Koropi site.
Travel: This position demands an ability to travel extensively to meet with customers, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

Job Summary:
- Experienced Procurement / Project management with a strong background in mechanical and electronic engineering.
- Responsible for assessing the market, identifying new suppliers, performing initial assessments and on-site visits, and proposing solutions to internal customers, within THALES procurement organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the company procures high-quality goods/services at competitive prices.
- Knowledge of the Greek suppliers and sub-contractors ecosystem is in priority. The main responsibilities described below will focus to Greek suppliers.
- Previous experience working in defence sector.
Supplier Identification and Assessment:
- Identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities in the fields of mechanical parts, cabling works, electronic boards etc.
- Perform initial assessments and on-site visits to verify suppliers' compliance with company standards and requirements.
- Develop and maintain a list of qualified suppliers for various categories of mechanical and electrical components and services.
- Work closely with internal customers from THALES procurement organization to understand their requirements and provide suitable procurement solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals to internal stakeholders, highlighting potential suppliers, cost benefits, key competencies, fields of expertise and quality considerations.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support project timelines and operational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and multi-national environment, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on mechanical/electrical components and services.
- Knowledge of the Greek suppliers and sub-contractors ecosystem is in priority. The main responsibilities described below will focus to Greek suppliers.
- Previous experience working in defence sector.
- Excellent analytical and market research skills.
- Ability to conduct on-site visits and evaluations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English and Greek / French speaking will be desirable.
- Experience in the defence industry.
- Knowledge of program management, quality management systems and standards.
