Rooms Division Manager

Location: Ouranoupolis, Halkidiki & Thessaloniki*

*During the winter season the candidate will be working at our premises in Thessaloniki.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseethe daily operations of the rooms division, including front office, housekeepingand guest services department
• Ensurethat Front desk and Concierge operations (check in/out, payments, keep areatidy, answer and redirect all incoming calls and e mails, receive letters orpackages and distribute them) are carried out in a smooth and exceptionalmanner, manage all tasks, their respective delegation and follow-up; scheduleshifts
• Maintaineffective communication with all related departments especially housekeeping,maintenance and reservations to ensure seamless service delivery
• Haveconstant detailed hotel product knowledge, up to date with guest, VIP arrivalsand events within the Resort premises
• Operatewithin departmental budget and monitor expenses to assure financial objectivesare met
• Ensurethat all guest registrations are completed and correspond with Fidelio PMSguest information
• Handleall guest requests / complaints; oversee the procedure and offer guidance andsupport entire team; maintain high visibility with guests and employees
• Participatein staff selection procedure, identify training needs, train and supervise thedepartmental team members, perform employee appraisals
• Monitor and evaluate guest feedback, ensure guest satisfaction andcontinuously improve services and amenities
• Supervisethat health and safety standards are met and that all employees work in a safeenvironment and have knowledge of recent health and safety regulations
• Preparereports for management information

Qualifications / Personal characteristics:

• Minimum3 years of experience in a similar position ideally within a 5* Luxury Hotel
• Excellentknowledge of English language; a second language (German, Russian or French)will be considered as an asset
• Computerliteracy and experience in Opera / Fidelio programs
• Degree/ Diploma in Hotel Management
• Excellenttime management, multitask and organizational skills
• Strongcommunicative, interpersonal, managerial and problem solving skills
