So, what’s the challenge...

As a Retail Analytics Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting the strategic direction of OPAP’s retail network. You’ll contribute to the definition of business objectives, commercial KPIs, and budget planning, while continuously monitoring performance and delivering insightful reports. Additionally, you’ll provide comprehensive analytics and reporting across the entire retail ecosystem, supporting stakeholders at all levels, from agents and Marketing Units to Area Managers, Sales teams, and top management.

Your day to day will include:

• Monitoring retail network KPIs (OPAP stores, Play Stores, indirect channels) and developing Power BI reports (annual, quarterly, monthly, ad-hoc) with detailed performance analysis by region, store, and product.
• Conducting ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses to assess commercial initiatives (e.g., Sports Party, KINO draws).
• Tracking performance and reward schemes to ensure effectiveness.
• Evaluating retail initiatives for impact and alignment with business priorities.
• Ensuring accuracy and stability of reporting tools, combining technical expertise with business understanding.
• Delivering actionable insights that connect data to commercial outcomes.
• Collaborating with the AI team on root cause analysis and predictive modeling and expanding reporting automation using AI capabilities.
• Contributing to the design and evaluation of commercial and credit policies, and reward schemes, recommending improvements.
• Suggesting new initiatives, services, and features to boost retail ROI for partners and OPAP.
• Conducting post-investment appraisals of retail initiatives, evaluating store profitability with Sales and Finance.
• Aligning with BI team to optimize data infrastructure that supports the team's reporting needs.

What you need to succeed:

• Bsc in Management Science & Technology, Management of Information Systems or relevant field
• Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or relevant field
• Hands-on experience in analyzing, visualizing and interpreting data using tools like R / Python / SQL / Power BI / Data Bricks / Microsoft Azure
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data into well-presented, meaningful stories
• Knowledge of basic financial principles
• Experience in predictive analytics, ideally by utilizing automation, ML & AI features
• Strong result & consumer-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English & Greek
• Good knowledge of the gaming industry will be considered an asset
