Location: Ouranoupolis, Ηalkidiki

Position Summary

The Chef will be responsible for all culinaryactivities. He will have to support, oversee and coordinate kitchen staff,deliver consistently high-quality food items, handle purchase orders and ensurethat all dishes are prepared in accordance with company standards with a viewto maximizing guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report tothe Executive Chef of Eagles Resort; Coordinate and supervise all kitchenstaff’s activities and steward’s team; perform all duties of culinary andrelated kitchen area employees in high demand times
  • Modify menus, create new ones and develop recipes; standardize production recipes toensure consistent quality, participate in other menu planning activities,recipe testing and menu development
  • Overseeset-up and service for each meal; check and improve flavor, presentation,temperature and portions prepared before and during meal times
  • Organize,assign and actively participate in the preparation of all dishes, coordinatedaily tasks with the Sous Chef
  • Assist inrecruitment and in the training of kitchen team, motivate employees to assureexcellent results; identify and analyze training needs and perform appraisals
  • Estimatethe daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked foodproducts to ensure that company standards are met at all times
  • ObserveHACCP hygiene and safety rules; supervise the hygiene and maintenance of allfood preparation areas
  • Provide anefficient and cost effective food service according to company standards, checkdaily food costs and improve the profitability of all outlets
  • Overseestorage, cold and freezer rooms, waste disposal and correct use of departmentequipment
  • Preparereports for management information
  • Set anexample and follow at all times a high standard of personal appearance andhygiene; ensure that all employees work in a safe environment and haveknowledge of recent health and safety regulations

Qualifications / Personal characteristics:

  • Minimum 4-5years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in à la carte or fine diningrestaurants ideally within a 5* Luxury Hotel
  • CulinaryArts Degree; a Master’s Degree will be considered as an extra asset
  • Outstandingcommunication and presentation skills; capable of delegating multiple tasks;stress management and financial skills (budgeting, forecasting)
  • Goodhygiene knowledge and HACCP standards
  • Fluency inGreek and English
  • Computerliteracy
  • Ability towork under pressure, keep up with cooking trends & best practices; focusedon providing high quality results
