Job Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager, who will lead the overall coordination, management, and successful implementation of Kids4EU project, a transnational initiative promoting civic education and EU values—such as equality, pluralism, and human rights—among children and adolescents.

The Project Manager ensures that all objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and in full compliance with EU funding requirements. This role involves managing the consortium, overseeing transnational activities, supervising the project team, liaising with partners and stakeholders, and leading capacity-building and advocacy activities for children and educators.

Major Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in compliance with EU regulations and CERV funding requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, ensure financial compliance, and track expenditures according to donor rules.
  • Coordinate with partners in Denmark, Greece, Italy, and Poland to ensure effective transnational collaboration.
  • Design and deliver training and workshops for children and educators, integrating inclusive, creative, and participatory methods.
  • Ensure child protection, safeguarding, and ethical standards are maintained throughout all project activities.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to project staff and consultants, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Monitor progress against objectives and milestones, proactively troubleshoot challenges, and propose effective solutions.
  • Prepare timely project reports, updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support dissemination, communication, and visibility activities to maximize project impact and reach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including funders, community organizations, and beneficiaries.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience managing EU-funded projects, preferably lump-sum CERV projects.
  • Strong background in education, civic engagement, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training or participatory workshops to children and youth.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and team leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of EU policies, civic education, and inclusion best practices.
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding standards.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with creative or artistic youth engagement.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and working with children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Multicultural project experience and knowledge of additional European languages.

Compensation

  • This position offers a monthly gross salary range of 2500 euros.
