People & Culture Officer - Athens

The main responsibilities of the position include:


  • Support compliance with Greek labor law by preparing necessary documentation, assisting with monitoring updates on the Greek Digital Work Card (Ψηφιακή Κάρτα Εργασίας), and sharing any changes with the HR team.
  • Assist with ERGANI & Ergani II submissions and processes by preparing data, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with the HR Ops team for timely reporting.
  • Assist with payroll-related administration by preparing and checking data (e.g., overtime, absences, benefits) for the payroll team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, employment contracts, and other documentation.
  • Support new joiners through the entire onboarding process, helping them feel welcome and integrated.
  • Monitor and track employees’ leave balances through the HR system.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs (health insurance, pension fund, food allowance), ensuring employees are informed and enrolled correctly.
  • Assist in health & safety compliance by maintaining records, coordinating medical checks where required, and supporting the implementation of workplace H&S initiatives.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related matters and redirect more complex queries to the relevant HR team members.
  • Provide support on employee well-being and engagement activities.
  • Provide general administrative support on other HR projects and initiatives.
  • Perform additional HR administrative tasks and projects as assigned by your Line Manager.




Main requirements:



  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience in HR operations or a similar role.
  • Very good knowledge of Greek labor law and willingness to stay updated on legal changes.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and ability to prepare relevant data accurately.
  • Hands-on experience using ERGANI & Ergani II platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with HRIS/HR software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
