What is it all about?
Senior Account Manager role focuses on finding business development opportunities in the assigned client portfolio. The candidate will increase credential issuance and card acceptance in Greece, while positioning other money movement solutions and value-added services, by working with overall payments ecosystem. This position is based in Athens, Greece.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Serve as the primary contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, coordinating requests and ensuring the smooth delivery of Visa services.
- Deepen each relationship by understanding client strategies, uncovering new issuing and acceptance opportunities, and recommending Visa solutions that advance shared growth objectives.
- Partner with product teams to introduce and scale Visa’s digital capabilities—Click to Pay, Tokenization, Risk and Identity Solutions, Tap-to-Phone, and others—defining roadmaps, mobilising cross-functional resources, and tracking adoption.
- Craft clear, benefit-led pitch decks and concise business cases that articulate the value of proposed initiatives.
- Lead regular performance and strategy reviews, sharing market insights and acting as a trusted advisor to sustain strong, long-term partnerships.
- Support business-development efforts with emerging digital players (Fintechs, enablers, BIN sponsors, processors, wallets), guiding seamless onboarding and effective go-to-market plans.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
What we're after...
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or engineering (preferred, but not required)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience (preferred, but not required: business / strategy consulting, banking or payments)
- Fluent in Greek and English
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity to identify new opportunities/anticipate how can impact the industry
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
- Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance
- Good business planning and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and engage multiple levels of management in key decisions where required for the business and identify key strategic issues, generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities
- Support different Clients’ projects concurrently
- Collaborate with different profiles / functions, promoting healthy teamwork environment
- Manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships
