Finance Associate – Cashier

Mediterranean Shipping Company Greece S.A., with a leading position in containertransportation across Greece, invites applications for the position of Finance Associate-Cashier,located in its Thessaloniki office.

Thejob purpose of the Finance Associate-Cashier is to execute all the necessarytransactions between the company, collaborators and customers for the clearanceof any financial obligation and ensure cargoes entrusted to the company are releasedsmoothly to its rightful owner.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to collect or return, cash to the customers by producing all supportive documentation and registration in the company’s system(s)
• Collect or return, checks by producing all supportive documentation and registration in the company’s system(s)
• Monitoring and reconciliation of company’s Bank Accounts
• Portfolio Management
• Cargo Release
• Follow-up of accounts receivable
• Ensure all the receipts are issued, for Branch Office Bank Accounts
• Issue daily statement with regards to cash in safe, Bank Accounts balances controlled by the Branch Office and the amount of checks the office possesses and provide relevant reports to the Management
• Receive daily from import department deposits to be returned to customers and customs brokers, verify them and prepare a report for the head office informing them in detail, to proceed with the remittance
• Archive all hard copies produced
• Cash Transactions
• Invoicing

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα:

• BSc degree in Finance or Economics
• 2-3 years’ experience in similar positions
• Excellent command of English Language (C1-C2 Level), both in speaking and writing
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications
• At least basic knowledge of SAP
• Ability to work in a team
• Flexibility, organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with numbers and cash exchange
