Key Responsibilities

As an Senior Application SW Engineer you will be a member of a multidiscipline and dedicated team of experienced Engineers focusing on the Design/Development of new Electro-Optical Systems for the Defence Industry. As a member of this team, you are expected to be self-motivated, focused and work with little supervision.

You will come across a diverse range of tasks such as:

• Participate in the definition of the SW System Architecture of new Products
• Design/Development of Embedded SW in C/C++
• Design/Development of Device Drivers for Linux (Ubuntu or SUSE)
• Design/Development of GUI Applications in Qt6/QML or ImGui or similar SDK for various frontends (PC / Tablet / Smartphones) in either LINUX or Windows Operating Systems
• Design and Development of Testing Utilities
• Troubleshoot SW problems during Development, Assembly, Integration and Testing Phases
• Follow the SW Development Lifecycle

Required Qualifications & Skills

• M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• At least 5 years of proven experience in developing SW Application in C / C++
• Experience in developing Device Drivers for Linux (Ubuntu or SUSE)
• Knowledge of Communication Protocols (UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS422, Ethernet, TCP/IP)
• Experience of GUI Development (ideally in Qt6/QML or ImGui or similar SDK) for various frontends (PC / Tablet / Smartphones) in either LINUX or Windows Operating Systems
• Experience in NVIDIA Jetson platforms development will be a plus
• Experience in NVIDIA PC GPUs development will be a plus
• Knowledge of Digital Image Processing using OpenCV will be a plus
• Knowledge of developing Real-time implementations under QNX Operating System will be a plus
• Experience with Git Version Control System
• Experience in the Development of Testing Utilities preferably using Python
• Technical Writing skills for the creation of User Manuals
• Analytical and conceptual skills as well as goal-oriented working methods
• Independent way of working, teamwork, and communication skills
