Optimal, on behalf of its client, a leading organization inthe food production and trading sector, is seeking to recruit a dynamic andresults-oriented Operations Manager to be based in Thessaloniki.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all plant operations,ensuring alignment with sales, distribution, inventory, and overall companygoals.
  • Manage and continuously improve systems forresource planning, material procurement, and workforce efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategicoperational plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs and oversee teamperformance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Department tosupervise procurement planning, ensuring timely and cost-effective materialavailability.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department onbudgeting, cost monitoring, and support of CapEx & OpEx proposals.
  • Organize and monitor regular warehouse inventorycounts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Foster close collaboration with all departments(e.g., R&D, Procurement, IT) to ensure alignment of operational priorities.
  • Promote a high-performance culture throughleadership, coaching, hands-on involvement, continuous improvement, andaccountability.
  • Ensure production goals are aligned with sales,distribution, and inventory targets.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the production process andimplement Lean/Kaizen practices to optimize flow.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering, ProductionManagement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of proven experience in a similarrole within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of operations management,manufacturing KPIs, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience in designing and implementing businessprocesses and operational policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teamsand oversee multiple departments.
  • Capability to identify training needs and supportemployee development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skillswith the ability to influence across functions.
  • Sound decision-making skills, especially underpressure and in complex environments.
