Role Summary:
We are constantly growing and are currently looking for an experienced Division Technical Engineer to join our team in Athens, Greece.
The Division Technical Engineer will assist Method Engineers in preparing tender execution plans and support operation teams at MID projects in developing construction documentation, including method statements, lifting plans, procedures, etc.
What you will need to do:
- Ensure implementation of Company’s IMS and approved templates to the extent to his activities
- Provide Engineering consultation- reports-calculations for Division’s Projects or Tenders based on knowledge of relevant software, upon management request
- Design of temporary works and preparation of relevant drawings
- Support the Method Engineers in the preparation of Method Statements, lifting plans and any other document required as part of the Project Execution Plan
- Attend designated meetings and/or Video Conferences and participate to constructability reviews.
- Prepare quantity measurements and material take-off.
- Contribute to research (via internet or other method) for new equipment, materials, good practices and specialist subcontractor upon request.
- Consistently seeks training and further professional self-development.
- Travel to Projects upon request to assist in the right implementation of Technical Office methods and practices and/or to get familiar with operations and in general with site conditions and constrains.
- Keep minutes of meetings for internal and external conferences upon request
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by management
What you will need to have:
- University degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- 1 – 3 Years of working experience in a similar role in an EPC contractor
- Knowledge of design & engineering tools e.g. structural design software (e.g. SAP 2000, Sophistic, RSTUB), finite analysis software (e.g. Abaqus, ANSYS), MATLAB.
- Very good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp will be a plus.
- Excellent command (written and oral) of the English language.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
