THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Subject Matter Expert - Project Engineer at Boehringer Ingelheim, you will be pivotal in driving projects and initiatives that enhance production and packaging equipment's efficient and safe operation.

This position is based in Koropi and reports to the Engineering Operations Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead or actively participate in essential projects and tasks to ensure efficient, optimal, and safe production and packaging equipment operation across site assets.
• Drive or participate in process enhancement and capital expenditure (capex) projects within designated areas/equipment of responsibility.
• Collaborate with internal BI and external technician teams, fostering coordination to ensure optimal equipment operation within their respective areas of responsibility.
• Bring technical expertise to the Engineering compliance team analysis (e.g., investigations, CAPAs, SOPs) within the assigned area, functioning as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Delegate and oversee additional tasks and actions to a team of technicians.
• Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sound engineering practices, safety protocols, calibration standards, and quality guidelines.
• Actively participate in interdepartmental technical meetings, fostering collaboration with Production, Packaging, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and OPD teams.
• Collaborate with external service providers, contractors, suppliers, and technicians when necessary to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently following GMP, GEP, Quality, and Compliance standards.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of Production and Packaging systems to facilitate informed decision-making.
  
  
  

What You Should Bring To The Team

• You possess a university degree in Engineering.
• You have at least two years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert - Project Engineer or in a similar role within an industry environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proficiency in both Greek and English languages.
• Previous experience in people or project management is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and SAP systems.
• You embrace a customer service mindset and demonstrate effective decision-making and task prioritization skills within a cross-functional environment.
