Εργασία εξ αποστάσεως

CribMaster, part of Smart Storage Solutions under Stanley Black & Decker (SBD), provides industry-leading tool and asset tracking hardware to industrial clients across aerospace, defence, construction, manufacturing, and distribution.

As an Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation and setup of CribMaster’s hardware solutions at our customer sites. This includes new deployments, upgrades and essential modifications throughout the implementation phase to ensure seamless asset tracking and inventory management. The role is highly hands-on, requiring a strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in diverse environments.

This position is field based, travelling to our locations across Europe and the Middle East. The core work involves physically installing and configuring CribMaster machines, with some elements of RFID integration and technology configuration. This role provides an exciting opportunity for hands-on installers who want to be a part of a fast-growing, technology-driven business unit. You’ll gain extensive international experience, work with cutting-edge solutions, and have great opportunities for personal development within the role.

The Ideal Candidate. We are looking for someone who:

  • Excels in hands-on work, installing hardware at industrial client sites whilst adhering to structured timelines.
  • Enjoys working in the field and views travel as an essential part of the job, not an inconvenience – our goal is to get the job done efficiently.
  • Is highly organised, able to follow structured installation processes while identifying ways to improve efficiency.
  • Can support with walking customers through the user journey, ensuring a seamless handover post-installation.
  • Communicates effectively, keeping customers, internal teams, and stakeholders updated on implementation progress.
  • Has strong attention to detail, ensuring every installation meets CribMaster’s high-quality standards.
  • Thrives in a problem-solving environment, troubleshooting technical or logistical issues during installations.
  • Is ambitious and eager to learn, with a strong desire to grow their knowledge.

Essential Job Functions

  • Install & configure CribMaster hardware, including intelligent storage cabinets, vending machines, and tool tracking units.
  • Ensure all pre-installation site requirements are met, coordinating with customers to minimise delays.
  • Integrate RFID technology where applicable and perform minor electrical work (e.g., connecting power sources, basic wiring)
  • Conduct on-site testing to confirm proper functionality, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Design and document asset layouts, installation details, and configuration settings for future reference.
  • Guide end-users on basic functionality, ensuring they understand how to use the system.
  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator & Implementation Team to align on-site activities with project goals.
  • Escalate performance issues, technical challenges, or defects to ensure quick resolution.
  • Adhere to structured installation processes, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records, status updates, and time logs in our project management system.
  • Travel extensively, including weekend stays as required.

Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Hands-on experience in field-based installations or hardware deployment, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or inventory management environments (vending or storage solutions highly beneficial)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude – comfortable assembling and configuring hardware.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and RFID integration highly desirable.
  • Ability to follow structured installation plans and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to resolve installation challenges independently, or escalate to Technical Support when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, ensuring clear updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal); French or other European languages are advantageous.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., aerospace, defence, manufacturing) is beneficial.
  • Comfortable with frequent international travel across the EMEA region, working in industrial settings and some remote locations.
