Job Description


The L&D Specialist will support the growth and improvement of the Learning & Development function, helping to set up an LMS, design learning and career paths, and coordinate training programs. The role also involves supporting graduate programs and onboarding, working closely with teams to ensure training aligns with business needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building new initiatives, collaborating, and fostering employee growth.


What you will need to do:


  • L&D Function Reorganization & Improvement: Support the reorganization of the L&D function, contributing to streamlined processes and enhanced departmental efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing new tools, systems, and processes to modernize the L&D function, including the setup, design, and configuration of a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Contribute to the enhancement of L&D policies and procedures to foster continuous improvement
  • Development & Training Initiatives: Support the design and implementation of structured learning and career paths for various roles within the organization.
  • Provide input on learning programs that address current and future skill needs of the company
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate learning programs, including workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
  • Graduate Development Programs: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of internship and graduate programs.
  • Coordinate with external partners, educational institutions, and stakeholders to promote the Graduate Program and attract qualified candidates.
  • Work with Department Heads to identify suitable projects and learning opportunities for interns and assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and networking events to enrich the interns' learning experience and build professional connections.
  • Training Delivery & Facilitation: Manage the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, participant communication, and resource allocation.
  • Onboarding & Induction Program: Support the development of a standardized induction and onboarding program across the Group, ensuring consistency in the new hire experience.
  • Collaborate with HR and Department Heads to develop comprehensive onboarding materials and training that reflect company values, safety protocols, and job-specific requirements
  • Vendor Management & External Providers: Support the People Development Manager in identifying, sourcing, and managing external training vendors.
  • Coordinate external training programs, ensuring quality, relevance, and alignment with organizational needs and facilitate coordination with vendors for certifications and compliance programs, including those specific to the construction industry (e.g., health & safety, regulatory training).
  • Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Track and analyse the effectiveness of learning programs using appropriate metrics and collaborate with the People Development team to evaluate feedback and assessment data for continuous program improvement.
  • Learning Needs & Program Development: Identify learning needs across departments and support the development of relevant training programs to address skill gaps and promote professional growth.


What you will need to have:


  • University Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant field.
  • Min. three (3) years’ experience in in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or a related HR function.
  • Strong knowledge of L&D principles, instructional design, and adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating learning programs, including face-to-face, online, and blended formats.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools (e.g., Articulate, MS Teams, Moodle, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse learning needs and translate them into effective development programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or technical industries is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to connect and collaborate effectively with a diverse group, from leadership to technical experts and external partners.
  • Easy-going, adaptable, and genuinely collaborative—a team player who helps create a positive, supportive, and productive atmosphere.
  • Known for professionalism combined with approachability and respect, building strong relationships across the organization.
  • Skilled at juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with composure and focus.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail, ensuring smooth execution of tasks and initiatives.
