THE OPPORTUNITY

Join us in shaping the future of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) convergence. We are seeking a strong individual to act as the primary local contact for business consulting while being integrated into our global IT team. This senior level role focuses on the development and implementation of advanced IT services for manufacturing and laboratory environments, a field we call IT4OT.

This position is based in Koropi (Greece) and reports directly to the Head of IT Greece and functionally to Head of Industrial Workplace Service in Germany.

Boehringer Ingelheim's site in Koropi, Greece, is a vital facility dedicated to the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products. Established in a strategic location near Athens, the Koropi site has played a significant role in the company's global operations, focusing on manufacturing, and distribution. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting and Coaching: Guide local OT and Lab business areas on existing IT4OT solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Act as the single point of contact for local IT infrastructure service implementations and lead local IT4OT projects.
  • Utilization and Identification: Drive local IT4OT utilization in greenfield areas and identify opportunities in brownfield areas.
  • Collaboration: Work with global IT4OT functions, providing feedback and improvement proposals.
  • Operational Support: Handle incident, problem, and change management, identify trends, and take corrective actions.

What You Should Bring To The Team

  • Educational Background: Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable job experience.
  • Personal Attributes: Customer orientation, communication skills, strategic thinking, ability to deliver results in complex environments, intercultural competencies, teamwork, and logical problem-solving.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT technologies (network, servers, clients, middleware), system integration, and IT security functions.
  • OT Knowledge: Good understanding of OT technologies and concepts.
  • Project Management: Experience in agile and waterfall project management.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Greek (reading, writing, speaking).
