Role Summary
As a Technical Business Development Engineer you will play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with business development strategies. This role involves supporting technical replies of international tenders, driving business growth through strategic initiatives and concrete knowledge of the competition, as well as participation in international tender and contract trials. The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering background, understanding and addressing of critical customer supportability requirements and develop further their business acumen to enhance operational efficiency and secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Technical Business Development, we are searching for a Technical Business Development Engineer, that will:
- Prepare Technical Proposals and Compliance Matrices for international tenders
- Provide technical support to BD Team and liaise with the R&D Team
- Review technical information for marketing material
- Participate in product trials and training sessions (for colleagues and end-users)
- Prepare internal competition analyses
- Perform Spares Parts Provisioning Analysis, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Plans and Reliability/Maintainability Analysis for international tenders
- Perform limited Safety/Environmental Impact Analyses and Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA /FMEA), if and when required.
Qualifications
- University degree of Engineering or Physics or Applied Physics
- Excellent command of the English Language
- Excellent command of the German Language will be considered a plus
- Excellent command of the MS Office suite
- Good interpersonal skills with particular emphasis on two-way communication and team working
- Specialization in Optics/Photonics and or Optoelectronic Devices or any relevant to the above tasks field will be considered as a plus
